While we have only just begun a new year, we know that in the wedding world there are many brides planning for their dream day come Fall 2017! In order to inspire you and entice you, we teamed up with talented wedding vendors from right here in the valley to create a Moody Fall Wedding! We love the use of vibrant colors and greenery, but there is something so romantic and thrilling about venturing to the dark side (of design, of course)!
Trending this year for Fall and Winter weddings is the use of dark and dramatic, otherwise “moody” colors. Black, grays, dark indigo blues with whispers of muted pinks and mauves are quite popular. We foresee a lot of mixed styles with touches of boho, modern, and vintage. Textural design elements like faux fur, marble, geodes, and greenery are also big hits this year!
We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed putting together this Stylized Photo Shoot! The results of our lush garden venue mixed with all the lovely moody and dramatic colors and touches created a romantic and sultry wedding look with a little edge.
The Guest Table was designed with a wooden farm table with pops of black and gold. We had fun using marble pumpkins and a faux fur runner. We created layers in the center of the table for a dramatic flair, with a black lamour table runner, a faux brown fur runner on top and then the use of eucalyptus greens, gold geometric centerpieces and a few pops of amethyst geode tea lights. We incorporated more gold with the flatware, the chargers, and gold painted antlers in the centerpiece. The wine colored lamour napkins were the perfect finishing touch!
SO moody. SO gorgeous!
How about this cake?! With marbled fondant and edible gold paint, this 3-tiered cake is a work of art. Instead of cake topper, we dressed the cake in front and underneath, again using layers of eucalyptus, geometric votives, and antlers to keep with the moody, mixed design theme.
Why not add more variety with a sitting lounge for your guests to relax?! We brought in elements of indigo blue with the whimsical drapery and more elements of modern with black ghost chairs and fur pillows and rug. We are still swooning over how gorgeous this lounge!
This bridal bouquet was eclectic, dramatic, and the perfect touch for this beautiful bride! We are smitten over the gold antlers and the bride’s vintage faux fur shawl. Let’s not forget about THE DRESS! We love the romantic lace with the scalloped edge, and the low cut, dramatic back!
